Engineous Group Inc. (EGI) is an MEP engineering firm based in Pasadena, serving Los Angeles and projects across California. We design mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for architects and developers, backed by more than 35 years of engineering experience.

Mechanical systems are usually the largest energy user in a building, and they are what keeps it comfortable, ventilated and safe to occupy. Getting them right early, sized correctly, coordinated with the architecture and documented to code, is what keeps a project on budget through plan check and construction.

What you receive

A permit-ready set with drawings, calculations and specifications. We respond to plan check corrections directly with the reviewing department, and support construction with submittal review and RFI responses. To scope and quote a project, send the architectural set and the project address.

California codes we design to

Mechanical and plumbing design in California is governed by Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations. Our documents are prepared against the parts that apply to building systems: the California Mechanical Code (Part 4), the California Plumbing Code (Part 5), and the California Energy Code (Part 6), which sets the energy efficiency requirements most commonly known as Title 24 compliance. Ventilation and energy performance are designed with reference to the ASHRAE standards these codes draw on.

Licensed and experienced

Our mechanical work is led by registered Professional Engineers on staff. Principal Bradley Severson is a registered Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering (License No. M-27983) in ten states, and an active member of ASHRAE, the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) and the NFPA. Principal Gilbert Dilanchian (License No. 31157) brings over 20 years in HVAC and plumbing design and is licensed in California plus Iowa, Illinois, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas and Utah, which lets us follow clients onto projects outside the state.
